The FEMA Region 1 Individual and Community Preparedness Division is inviting you to join us on September 8th and September 15th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST for a two day webinar series addressing the ongoing substance misuse crisis and the impact that it has on emergency and disaster response. This event is completely open to the public and is free! We will be joined by a dynamic set of speakers who will cover a wide range of issues, including the following:

  • The intersection of substance misuse and emergency response

  • National and local substance misuse and overdose trend data pre/post pandemic

  • Fundamentals of trauma and addiction related science

  • Understanding the risk and protective factors for substance misuse

  • Action: How to build community coalitions of trust
